About

Arash Pakzad was born in Azar 1363 in Tehran and still lives in Tehran. He began learning the piano since adolescence. Later, he turned to electronic music and computer music production. In the meanwhile, he was engaged in making and testing recording instruments such as home sound mixers and studio microphones and speakers. This revealed his hidden interest in sound engineering and its combination with music propelled him into learning the mixing and mastering industry.

Since his favorite academic field was non-existent during those years, he proceeded to learn and develop his command experimentally and on his own. This self-learning process led him to inject his individual taste into the world of music and highlighted a notable distinction between his own works and other produced works at that time. He has continued his artistic activity more seriously since the late 1970s and he eventually made his first official experience in the field of mixing and mastering with Roozbeh Nematollah’s album in 1386. Babak Jahanbakhsh was the second artist to have Arash Pakzad’s name recorded on his album as a sound engineer.

Pakzad continued his artistic activities and in the late 1380s, he played an important role in the production of more than four hundred musical works most of which were among the most popular works. He has collaborated with most bands and singers of various genres of music including pop, fusion rock and electronics. The most important of whom are Alireza Assar, Mohammad Esfahani, Mohsen Yeganeh, Ehsan Khaje Amiri, Farzad Farzin, Reza Sadeghi, Mohammad Alizadeh, Ali Lohrasbi, Fereydoun Asraei, Siamak Abbasi, Amir Abbas Golab, Ashvan, Alireza Talischi, Omid Nemati, Rastak Hallaj, Mehdi Yarahi and different bands including Chartar, Darkoob and so on.
